“Kesarval” originated from the Indian word for eagles which used to live here. A rocky zigzag hike was the sole way to get to this waterfall earlier. Here, you can get to witness The Chapel of the Cross of Miracles, The baptismal font, the sculptures, and paintings. The cathedral was started building in the year 1562 and completed in 1652. It is located to the northeast of Margao and is close to the Rachol Seminary. The fort is not famous for its architectural design. However, it is mainly liked for its charming beauty. Adjacent to this site, you can find sluice gates, rice fields, and rivulets shrimp. Rachol Fort fell into ruin as the Portuguese abandoned it.
6. Mormugao fort: Mormugao Fort Goa is only 16 kilometres from Kesarval Waterfall. It only takes a 26-minutes drive to reach here. From Vasco Da Gama train station, Mormugao Fort is 4 kilometres away. It was constructed by the Portuguese in the year 1624. In 1963, the fort gained the eminence of a major port for Portuguese ships. It even boasts to have a few articles from the past, counting five prisons, three magazines, a chapel, and 20 bulwarks.
