Air India, the national carrier of India, will resume its operations of the most-awaited San Francisco to Bangalore nonstop flights from Friday, December 2, 2022.

• SFO to Bangalore nonstop flights are one of the longest flights in the world and will resume operations from December 2, 2022. The frequency of these flights will be thrice weekly – Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
• Air India shared a tweet on Thursday, November 17, 2022 – “Fly non-stop from Bengaluru to San Francisco, 3x weekly, starting 2nd December 2022, with round-trip fares from Rs. 83,766”.

• Air India will use Boeing 777-200LR for its new long-haul flights like SFO to BLR flights, SFO to Mumbai flights, and New York to Mumbai flights. Air India’s first-ever premium economy seats will gradually be rolled out on B777-200LRs between December 2022 and March 2023.

• San Francisco to Bengaluru – Flight AI 176 will depart from SFO Airport at 09:00 PM on Friday, Dec 02, 2022, and arrive at BLR Airport at 04:25 AM on Sunday, Dec 04, 2022. The duration of the flight will be 17 hours and 55 minutes. 
• Bengaluru to San Francisco – Flight AI 175, will depart from BLR Airport at 02:20 PM on Friday, Dec 02, 2022, and arrive at SFO Airport at 05:00 PM on Friday, Dec 02, 2022. The duration of the flight will be 16 hours and 10 minutes.

Currently, the airline is operating connecting flights from San Francisco to Bangalore and vice versa. But, you can make bookings for the upcoming nonstop flights between these two locations anytime. A round-trip airfare of Rs. 83,766 will also be offered for Bangalore-San Francisco-Bangalore as part of the airline’s inaugural offering.

Fleet Expansion Plan Of Air India

Air India is the biggest operator of USA-India nonstop flights in the market. So, Air India recently announced it will take on lease five Boeing 777 long-range (LR) aircraft. These ex-Delta planes will join the Air India fleet between December 2022 and March 2023 to be used to deploy more USA-India nonstop flights such as SFO to Bangalore flights, SFO to Mumbai flights, and New York to Mumbai flights. While the B777is in the AI fleet currently has three classes – first, business, and economy, the five B777 LRs that will be hoping shortly will have a premium economy cabin too.
