General Bipin Rawat Family History

Born in the laps of Uttrakhand hills, Gen Bipin Rawat was never away from the essence of the Indian Army. Why? After he completed his higher education, General Rawat cracked the NDA competitive exam and joined National Defence Academy in Khadakwasla. Followed my that he was further trained in the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. Observing his overall conduct throughout his training period, the chief of Army staff was even esteemed with the ‘Sword Of Honor’.

8th December 2021: An unfortunate accident took place on this day which led the nation to lose one of its legendary gems- Indian army chief Bipin Rawat. Boarded on the IAF’s Mi-17V5 helicopter, Indian Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife-Madhulika Rawat, and 11 other defence personnel encountered a severe helicopter crash. Unfortunately, none of the boarded individuals could recover back to life after the crash.
